Who we are

Bee Come Native is a product of Albamind LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading the Bee Come Native mobile app or using the Bee Come Native website (beecomenative.com), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Bee Come Native.

The app and what it does

Bee Come Native calculates solar position and shadow geometry to produce sun-hour maps for residential and small-scale properties. All calculations are based on standard astronomical models (solar declination, hour angle, altitude, and azimuth) and the physical dimensions of structures and trees you enter. Sun-hour estimates are approximations. They assume clear-sky conditions and do not account for weather, atmospheric effects, or dynamic changes such as tree growth between update cycles.

What's free and what's paid

The Bee Come Native sun map and Garden Report are free to use with a free account. The Planner is a paid subscription.

• Free: your sun map for any property you own, and your USDA growing zone and frost dates. A free account lets you save and revisit your maps.
• The Planner — which turns your sun map into what to plant where — is a recurring subscription (currently $15/month, billed through our payment processor, Stripe). It renews until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid period.
• Prices and features may change; any changes apply going forward, not to a period you have already paid for.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Bee Come Native on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of Bee Come Native. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

Your content

Property data you enter — addresses, boundary coordinates, structures, trees — belongs to you. In v1, this data is stored locally on your device only. We don't upload it without your action. You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and for ensuring you have the right to map any property you input.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Bee Come Native for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent any licensing or access controls.
• Misrepresent Bee Come Native outputs as professional engineering, survey, or architectural assessments.
• Scrape, harvest, or automate requests to our servers beyond normal app usage.

No warranty

Bee Come Native is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties — express or implied — about the accuracy of sun calculations, fitness for any particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Bee Come Native outputs are estimates only and should not be relied on for professional, legal, or safety-critical decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Albamind LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Bee Come Native — including but not limited to planting decisions, property modifications, or financial losses — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Bee Come Native.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Bee Come Native grows. We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. For material changes we'll notify you via the app or email if we have one on file.
